Hi, I’m Robin Campbell (he/him)
MEET Robin
Somatic, mind and body therapist in Alberta
Hi, I’m Robin and I’m So Glad You’re Here
As a licensed therapist, I deeply honour the courage it takes to begin this journey. I have a profound respect for the inner wisdom and resilience that lives within each person — and a firm belief that healing is not something we find outside of ourselves, but something we rediscover from within by cultivating greater awareness, presence, and self-compassion.
"The body holds what the mind cannot yet face... The body remembers because it was there when the mind stepped back to protect you. This is where survival lived. And it's also where healing begins." – Peter Levine
My approach is rooted in trauma-informed, body-centered therapy. I primarily work with Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) and Natural Processing (Somatic EMDR therapy) — helping clients process shock, difficult emotions, and core relational pain so that meaningful, lasting change can emerge naturally.
Alongside my clinical training, I have spent much of my life exploring spiritual, healing, and wellness traditions — dedicating three decades to studying yoga, meditation, qigong, and mind-body philosophies in India and throughout the East. These experiences drew me toward somatic psychology and a deep curiosity about human nature — how we move through pain and suffering, and how we unlock our potential to live more fully.
Growing up in a family with deep, intergenerational trauma, I have travelled this path myself. I have sat with the parts of myself that felt painful, even shameful — learning to feel them fully, and notice how they lived in my body. It was through this comprehensive mind and body healing process, where I acknowledged and felt my experiences, that something began to shift. I found my way to a lighter, more expansive place — free from the loop of painful memories.
In that embodied awareness, I could recognize the stories my mind was telling — and see I had a choice. Mine or inherited, I didn't have to let them define my present. That awareness set me free. Not always easy, but so worth it.
I'd be honoured to hear your story and support you through the places you feel stuck. I have come to know that when you begin to trust yourself — come back to yourself — life becomes much easier.
In therapy, I will always follow your lead, so you feel safe every step of the way.
The door to healing has always been within you. Let’s connect and walk this journey together.
